Top Photo Tips For Family Reunions

Family reunions! Everyone loves going to them but planning them can be a bit of a hassle. One client has a reunion in honor of his father once a year. His father said that if family moves and doesn’t make a point of getting together that makes them less of a family. We at Pixologie Digital Solutions have helped him prepare for this year’s reunion by digitizing a number of old family videos. The goal is to make sure that each family member can have a copy of them. In the past we had videos, and they lived on one tape. That one person had it, and it could only be viewed on a tape player when you were together. Now we can make multiple copies that can be watched on a computer, a television, a phone… So many more options.

Decisions you should think about when planning your reunion.
Where? Are you doing it near the old family homestead? At a cool vacation spot? At the home of one of the family members?

Where are people staying? Camping on the old family farm? Hotel nearby? Multiple family homes? Provide people with the options and prices.

What events/activities are people going to be doing? Get information from the local visitor center. Make bags with information for guests.

What are people eating/drinking? Are there any food allergies? Find someone to cater the event. Set up the pot luck plan. Is it BYO, so everyone is in charge of their own food. Tips on local restaurants would be greatly appreciated!
